FAQ

Questions people ask before signing up

If yours is not here, ask it — the answer will end up on this page.

No card. Seven days on your own properties, not a demo account.

Does ProMI work for both rentals and a lodge?

Yes, and in the same account. A mixed portfolio shows residential units and rooms together, with one position across both. It is a common shape here — a landlord with flats who also runs a guesthouse.

Do I need to be online all the time?

ProMI runs in a browser and as a desktop application. The desktop build keeps working through a connection drop and catches up afterwards, which matters where power and internet are not guaranteed.

Can my staff use it without seeing everything?

Yes. Access is role-based and reasonably fine-grained: a caretaker can log a maintenance job without seeing the accounts, and reception can take a booking without seeing payroll.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

It remains yours. You can export your records, and backups are kept to a published retention schedule rather than deleted the moment a subscription lapses.

Can tenants and guests do anything themselves?

Tenants can see their balance, download receipts and raise maintenance requests. Guests can book a room on your own public page and manage that booking afterwards.

How long does it take to set up?

Adding properties, units and current tenants is the bulk of it, and for most portfolios that is an afternoon. You can import rather than type if you already keep a spreadsheet.

Is it built for Zambia specifically?

Yes. Figures are in kwacha, the rental and lodge conventions are local ones, and mobile money is treated as a first-class payment method rather than an afterthought.

Still deciding?

A trial answers most of these faster than we can, and costs nothing to abandon.
